Πως γίνεται να μην είναι τόσο υπέροχο αυτό το άλμπουμ, (Sensomatic) και πως γίνεται επίσης να μην είναι τόσο υπέροχο αυτό το σχήμα, (Ghost Note Project) όταν ο κορμός του αποτελείται από καλλιτέχνες όπως οι Ασκληπιός Ζαμπέτας και ΓιωργοςΤόλιος (Τρύπες) και ΧρήστοςΤσαπράζης (Ξύλινα Σπαθιά), που άφησαν για λίγο τις ρόκ φόρμες και είπαν να ασχοληθούν με άλλα είδη, εξίσου δύσκολα,και εξίσου όμορφα. Οχτώ παράξενες και αινιγματικές συνθέσεις που προκαλούν με την τελειότητα τους, που παίζουν με το μυαλό, και αποσυντονίζουν την λογική. Με την Jazz να κυριαρχεί, και τα παρακλάδια της, Fusion, Acid, να ανταγωνίζονται στα ίσια με την ψυχεδέλεια και τις λίγες έθνικ ''πινελιές''. Ένα άλμπουμ σπάνιας ομορφιάς, εφάμιλλο των καλών άλμπουμ του παρελθόντος. Η προσμονή για περισσότερο υλικό απο την νέα τους δουλειά Zo'e για μια πιο ολοκληρωμένη κριτική, μας έβαλε στον ''πειρασμό'' να μοιραστούμε μαζί σας το Lockjaw, ενα από τα ωραιότερα κομμάτια των The Dive, μέσα απο το ομώνυμο άλμπουμ του 2011 που κυκλοφόρησε απο την Spinalonga Records.
Το ότι οι Cyanna είναι ένα από τα δυνατά χαρτιά της εγχώριας σκηνής, δεν αμφισβητείται απ;o κανέναν που σέβεται και αγαπάει την καλή Rock μουσική.
Και πως μπορεί να γίνει αυτό, απ την στιγμή που το τελευταίο τους EP- The Undressed, είναι μια από τις ομορφότερες δουλειές που ακούσαμε τα τελευταία χρόνια.
Οι καταπληκτικοί Alternative ήχοι, παρέα με τις Gothic Americana επιρροές που '' κληρονόμησαν "από ονόματα όπως οι Johnny Cash και Woven Hand, σε συνδυασμό πάντα με τα εξαίσια φωνητικά του Spyreas Syd, μας χαρίζουν τέσσερα μουσικά θέματα ισάξια μεγάλων ονομάτων του εξωτερικού.

Ο ταλαντούχος Logout, δυο χρόνια μετά το πολύ όμορφο “Paper Plane Flight Recorder” album που μας χάρισε μερικές απο τις ωραιότερες μπαλάντες, επιστρέφει με το ολοκαίνουργιο “Little Things Buried In Concrete” για να μας αποδείξει οτι δεν είναι τυχαία ενα απο τα ΄΄βαριά΄΄ χαρτιά της Inner Ear και γενικά της ελληνικής rock μουσικής σκηνής.
Οι δέκα όμορφες συνθέσεις με alternative και indie επιρροές και η αψεγάδιαστη παραγωγή του Χρήστου Λαϊνά , φέρνουν το “Little Things Buried In Concrete” στις πρώτες κατά την γνώμη μας θέσεις των καλύτερων album του 2013.
Το Spare Some Change των The Big Nose Attack, ειναι ενα απο τα κομματια που αγαπησαμε αμεσως σε αυτο το blog. οι σαφεις επιρροες απο black keys και white stripes, μαζι με τα πειραγμενα ΄΄βρωμικα΄΄ φωνητικα , δινουν μια αγρια ομορφια, οχι μονο στο συγκεκριμενο κομματι αλλα και σε ολοκληρο το album ( the big nose attack s/t).
Πριν λιγες μερες κυκλοφορισε και το νεο τους Album, Paint it Blue, αλλα για την ωρα δεν βρηκαμε καποιο δειγμα να παρουσιασουμε. Στο προσεχες μελον που θα ασχοληθουμε και παλι μαζι τους σιγουρα θα ποσταρουμε 1και 2 και 3 κομματια απο την μπαντα που προσθεσαμε στην κατηγορια, αγαπημενα μας!!.
The Sailing Tomatoes is a music band, mainly consisted of a group of childhood friends coming from one of Thessaloniki's neighborhoods, in Greece. As kids, they have always dreamed to travel around the world playing music. It all starts in the summer of 2010, when Giorgos Moutoukias (bouzouki) and Petros Anagnostopoulos (accordion) decide to get to know the islands of Greece, playing music on the street, just to make a living for the summer. Skiathos is their first destination, where after a few days Philippos Seinkman (acoustic guitar) joins them. The three of them play together songs they like, however, while traveling, they also find the inspiration for creating their own songs. In early August, they meet with Denis Dowling (vocals), in Ios.They jam together and give the promise to meet again. Denis is a skipper so, the day after, each one leaves Ios; Denis follows the call of the sea, the other three continue their journey to the islands. In (the middle of) September, Denis joins them in Thessaloniki, where they all together write a few songs. They come up with the music, he adds the lyrics. Their next destination is Zagorohoria, where Vangelis Domanos (percussions), another childhood friend, follows them in their musical journey. By the middle of the winter, in Athens, Theodoros Moutoukias (acoustic bass) becomes part of the band as well. Looking for a name to give their group, they inspired by a play on words and they finally name the band Sailing Tomatoes. In May 2011, they record their first album Δρόμος/ Dromos, at Sofita Studios, in Athens. A summer full of new journeys and music is about to come, before they return once again at the fold, Thessaloniki, where they meet with Dennis just before he leaves for the U.S. . The band stays for the winter in Thessaloniki. Orfeas Kappa (clarinet), the newest member, officially joins the band there. They had originally met Orfeas in Volos last spring and saw him again at Heraklion of Crete and Syros. Their friendship became stronger and they played for the first time together in Naxos. Flakes are a 5 piece band currently based between London (UK), Athens and Patras (Gr). They formed in 2006 and have appeared in many festivals and different venues in Greece and abroad ever since (supporting bands such as Bloc Party, Primal Scream, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Foals, Nine Black Alps, Puressence +). While in the studio for the recording of their debut album Flakes were selected to perform in Exit Festival 2008 (Novi Sad, Serbia) for MTV Live Music Stage. In September 2009 being the finalists of CocaCola Soundwave Contest v.3, the band had the opportunity to record new material at RAK studios, London. Blame The Trees are a five piece post-rock / trip-hop collective from Athens, Greece. Influenced by diverse music ranging from Mogwai and God is an astronaut to Massive attack, Portishead and Nerve; their music combines explosive leads and ambient melodies driven by inspired female vocals.
The vipervikings are an electronic post-rock quintet based in Thessaloniki, GR. Formed in 2005 by long time friends Apostolos Papapostolou, Vasilis Paras, Vasilis Zlatanos and Phoevos Filkas and shortly afterwards recruiting guitarist Kostas Kyriakou and originally frontman Asteris Zaharakis, the vipervikings underwent a series of style and lineup changes until mid 2007. The second half of 2007 proved a major turning point for the vipervikings. Following Asteris’ withdrawal from the band, the remaining five members focused on writing completely new songs, drawing heavy influences from post-rock bands and electronic acts alike. The group slowly developed their trademark sound, using a string quartet in their compositions and fusing raw electronic sounds and beats with atmospheric electric guitar soundscapes (while gaining a large fan base along the way). On 1/11/2007 they released their first self-produced promo EP “the empire of sleep”, and appeared in a series of gigs to promote their music. On July 2008 they appeared in Rockwave Festival opening for the Offspring, Marky Ramone and the Gossip. Their new LP "Lusifer" is expected somewhere before summer 2013.
Katerina Panopoulou started creating music as a teenager with friends, and that's when she got the bug. One year later when the fledgling band broke up, she got herself her first electric guitar and wrote her own songs.
In 2001 she moved to England to study music. Two years later, back in Greece she teamed up with guitarist Gina Dimakopoulou, violinist Katerina Michailidi, bassist Iakovos Siaparinas, drummer Dimitris Panagiotopoulos and formed the band Dementia Praecox. After many live performances, she moved to London to further her studies. During her stay in London, she performed as a solo acoustic artist. In 2007 under the indissoluble name Katrin the Thrill, she participated in the Coca Cola Soundwave competition and won a place among the 5 best music acts. The video clip of the song "If You Believe in Dreams" was shot and the track was included in the "Music on the Coke side of Life" compilation. For the next 2 years Katrin the Thrill performed in Greece at Terra Vibe, Gagarin 205, Vrachon Theater, European Music Day, Bios, Athens Gay Pride, Festival Against Racism,Indie Free Festival and was the opening act for Manic Street Preachers, GregDulli and Electrelane.
In 2009, following the devastating fires that swept through Greece, as well as many other places around the world, the concept for "Earth Is Calling Us" EP was devised, and the need to take action and help reforestation was fully realized. In December 2010, "Earth Is Calling Us" was released as her first solo project with Gina on guitar, Maria Roka on bass and Tolis Toleas on drums. The EP is dedicated to the earth and the environment and part of the proceeds goes towards the reforestation of the burned forests of Greece. In January 2012 the first reforestation was successfully completed.
In December 2011, after eight months of intensive studio work, her new album was ready to be released, but an unfortunate event postponed everything; at the last minute the record label deal broke down and all production costs needed to be covered for the album to see the light of day. A successful Indiegogo online campaign was organized, and Katrin's fans raised over $2,000 to bring her unique vision, "Evil Eye Charm" to reality.In September 2012, her new album "Evil Eye Charm" was released and gained outstanding reviews
Universal Trilogy is considered to be not only a pioneering musical
group but the oncoming power of Greek electronic music, as its members
have succeeded in a period of 13 years - with their 7 recordings and the
live appearances in Greece and abroad - to become part of a new
electronic music trend and at the same time to adjust all the features
of alternative dance music into their own musical philosophy.

Minor mine were formed in November 2007 in Thessaloniki,Greece.In March
2008: they recorded their first song “Are you sure that you are awake?”
at Rough Studios. A special guest Kleo played the additional guitars.In
April 2008 their very first gig (with thee pancakes) took place in a
crowded bar called Dron in Thessaloniki.In September 2008 recording
sessions began at Rough studios and in June 2010 debut album “Where They Go” was out.
Sugah Galore were formed in the summer of 2004 in Athens. Because of the
members different musical influences that range from funk, hip-hop and
soul to avant rock, metal and noise, the only way to move on was through
combining different styles. The band is now recording it’s first album.

Ο Lolek ξεκίνησε μαθήματα ακορντεόν στην ηλικία των 12 ετών και συνέχισε
με κιθάρα και τύμπανα. Την περίοδο 1999-2007 συμμετείχε στα
συγκροτήματα Mafia Maggots, Touched και Bolek & Lolek, όπου εγραφε
μουσική και έπαιζε τύμπανα. Ο πρώτος του δίκος με τίτλο 'Alone'
κυκλοφόρησε το 2009 απο την Inner Ear. Την ίδια χρονιά, μελοποίησε το
ποίημα 'Κεριά' του Κ.Π. Καβάφη (Οδός Πανός).
