Solarmonkeys - Don't Bother

Η αλήθεια είναι πως τα τελευταία χρόνια παρ'όλη την κατάντια του πολιτικού συστήματος και της ''αφραγκίας'' που μας διακρίνει, συνειδητοποίησαμε πως η εγχώρια Underground μουσική σκηνή έχει πάρει πολύ τα ''πάνω'' της, και πως μπορείς να την απολαμβάνεις πλέον με λιγοστά χρήματα,
όπως κάναμε εμείς, πρίν δυο μήνες περίπου  με τους Solarmonkeys σε έναν γνωστό χώρο στο μοναστηράκι.
Και η αλήθεια είναι πως δεν μας έφτασαν 45 λεπτά μόνο.
Οι επιρροές τους που θυμίζουν τόσο Alice in Chains και Pearl Jam, τα riffs από τις κιθάρες τόσο Tool και A Perfect Circle, ο αεικίνητος John Citizen με την όμορφη χρειά και την δυναμική σκηνική παρουσία, και γενικά  όλα τα παιδιά.......τα ''σπάνε'' στην κυριολεξία.

Το παρακάτω κομμάτι είναι ένα δείγμα από την ολοκληρωμένη δουλειά, που θα κυκλοφορήσει πρός το τέλος του χρόνου. (όπως πληροφορηθήκαμε απο τους ίδιους)

The Vipervikings - The Empire of Sleep (Alternative Rock)

The vipervikings are an electronic post-rock quintet based in Thessaloniki, GR. Formed in 2005 by long time friends Apostolos Papapostolou, Vasilis Paras, Vasilis Zlatanos and Phoevos Filkas and shortly afterwards recruiting guitarist Kostas Kyriakou and originally frontman Asteris Zaharakis, the vipervikings underwent a series of style and lineup changes until mid 2007. 

The second half of 2007 proved a major turning point for the vipervikings. Following Asteris’ withdrawal from the band, the remaining five members focused on writing completely new songs, drawing heavy influences from post-rock bands and electronic acts alike. The group slowly developed their trademark sound, using a string quartet in their compositions and fusing raw electronic sounds and beats with atmospheric electric guitar soundscapes (while gaining a large fan base along the way).

On 1/11/2007 they released their first self-produced promo EP “the empire of sleep”, and appeared in a series of gigs to promote their music. On July 2008 they appeared in Rockwave Festival opening for the Offspring, Marky Ramone and the Gossip.

Their new LP "Lusifer" is expected somewhere before summer 2013.

Rosebleed - I Want To Have It All (Alternative Rock)

Rosebleed is a 5 piece alternative rock band from Athens, Greece with male vocals. The members of the band came together in 2004 at the tender age of 16. Rosebleed believe that music has to evolve always into something better and new as the years go by, so that’s what they’re trying to do by experimentation and by not imprisoning their creativity in one specific genre of music.

Dropeners - 182 (Alternative Rock)

Dropeners, are an alternative-rock band based in Ferrara, Italy. The band consists of founding members Vasilis Tsavdaridis (voice, guitar, piano, synth) and Francesco Corso (drums) and also Francesco Mari (guitar) and Enrico Scavo (bass), who joined the band in late 2011 after the departure of Daniele Piovan (guitar) and Davide Piovan (bass). They released their debut album "Drops Of Memories" on

13 May 2009 which was recorded and produced by the band itself and was well received by music critics. In the summer of 2009 Dropeners played at Rock On Loredan, a festival located in north-Italy and also at Postbloo Festival in Athens (Greece), a music festival held on the beach. On 25 January 2010, their song "182", was broadcasted for the first time on Best Radio 92.6, one of the most popular radio in Athens, thanks to the radio producer Dimitris Papaspyropoulos. From January 16th to February 10th of 2010 there was a photo exhibit by Luca Maruffa, at the Hush Gallery in Istanbul (Turchey) and Dropeners’s music was it’s soundtrack. In May 2010 they played live on "Mad TV" of Athens (Greece) and they gave a concert at Six d.o.g.s. , a club of the greek capital. Also during the same month, Dropeners’s “182” became part of Dimitris Papaspyropoulos’s digital compilation “Hope trails”. On April they played live, giving also an interview on Rome’s Radio Inblu, one of their song was broadcasted on the national radio program “Melisland” and on the 4th of May 2010 they played an acoustic session on Radio Sound in Ferrara. On 29 November 2010 Dropeners released "Silent sound EP", which was also recorded and produced by themelves. On 20th of December the tenth compilation of Dimitris Papaspyropoulos called "Long missed heroes" (The Spicy Effect record label) was released,including among others [Tim Buckley, The National, Michael Hutchence ft. Bono (U2)] Dropeners’s song "Beautiful mistake" (taken from "Silent sound EP). Also on February 2011 they gave their song "Beautiful mistake" to the theatrical performance "Middle" that took place at the city of Salonica in Greece. My Excuse - Is it Over Now (Rock)

My Excuse is an alternative modern rock band from Greece. They were formed in Thessaloniki, Greece by their American frontman Steven Triant.
In 2010 they released the single “Is it Over Now”, produced by Grammy award winner Ronald Saint Germain (RHCP, Tool, Soundgarden, U2, Creed, 311), which saw huge success in Greece and established them as one of the most successful Greek English speaking bands.
July 2012 and My Excuse have returned from their first U.S. tour. While in New York, they completed a series of live performances and recorded their second album. They successfully performed in a number of historic venues, including the Stars & Stripes Festival in Lake Michigan.
On July 11, 2012 My Excuse released their first international single on itunes, “Silent Revolution”. The track is part of their new album, which has been recorded while on their U.S. tour and produced by Ron Saint Germain

Cyanna - Shine (Rock)

Cyanna is a rock n’ roll quintet from Athens, Greece.
The band has so far released three albums, while their latest release is a four-track mini album under the title “The Undressed EP” (March 2012). It’s a self-released & produced 12’’ vinyl, introducing a more stripped-down side of their sound to the public.
Best way to capture the band’s powerful spirit is in concert. Cyanna have played many gigs in Greece, from small clubs to big festivals, as well as in other countries like Germany, Switzerland and Bulgaria.

Transistor - Living (Rock)

Transistor is an alternative pop/rock band from Athens, formed March 2004. You can find their first song “Living” on the “Blessed and Cursed” complilation album, in a “Last chance” remix by Dimitris Papaspyropoulos (Dec 2004). Since then they’ve done various live acts, performing in several places and events. In the beginning of 2008 two of Transistor members (Maria & Niki), composed the soundtrack for the theatrical play “Sto Vytho”, directed by Roula Pateraki and produced by the National Theater. Their debut album “Things You Miss When You Blink” was released June 2008.
