Ο δίσκος "Αλλη μια ώρα" είναι η δεύτερη προσωπική δουλειά της Κατερίνας Μακαβού, μιας πολλά υποσχόμενης τραγουδοποιού απο τη Θεσσαλονίκη.
Εννέα σαγηνευτικά υπέροχες μελωδίες ακολουθούν μια ρετρό αισθητική και δένουν υπέροχα μεταξύ τους.Τους στίχους και τη μουσική έχουν επιμεληθεί η ίδια η Κατερίνα, ο Οδυσσέας Ιωάννου, ο Θανάσης Dzingovic και ο Κίμων Χαραλάμπους.
Η αγάπη και το μεράκι της για τη μουσική είναι διάχυτα και σε αυτήν τη δουλειά της.Δεν είναι τυχαίο ότι γράφει στιχους, συνθέτει αλλά αναλαμβάνει και την παραγωγή του δίσκου!
Με αυτή τη δουλειά είναι σίγουρο πως έχει αρχίσει ήδη να κατακτά τον προσωπικό της χώρο στη σύγχρονη μουσική σκηνή.
Αυτό και αν είναι είδηση, οι πολυαγαπημένοι μας GravitySays_i σε λίγο καιρό κυκλοφορούν το νεο τους LP, και εγω σαν λάτρης των ίδιων και της μουσική τους (Post, Alternative, Progressive, Indie) δεν μπορώ παρα να ''λιώσω'' στο παιξιμο ενα ακόμα απίστευτα όμορφο κομμάτι με τον τίτλο Cry-Out.
Μην ξεχάσω πως το τραγούδι συνοδέυεται απο το εξαίσιο φωτογραφικό υλικό της Σωτηρίας Παγουλάτου, (ελπίζουμε και το artwork του LP), και ταιριάζει απόλυτα με την αισθητική των συνθέσεων της μπάντας.
Ο ταλαντούχος Logout, δυο χρόνια μετά το πολύ όμορφο “Paper Plane Flight Recorder” album που μας χάρισε μερικές απο τις ωραιότερες μπαλάντες, επιστρέφει με το ολοκαίνουργιο “Little Things Buried In Concrete” για να μας αποδείξει οτι δεν είναι τυχαία ενα απο τα ΄΄βαριά΄΄ χαρτιά της Inner Ear και γενικά της ελληνικής rock μουσικής σκηνής.
Οι δέκα όμορφες συνθέσεις με alternative και indie επιρροές και η αψεγάδιαστη παραγωγή του Χρήστου Λαϊνά , φέρνουν το “Little Things Buried In Concrete” στις πρώτες κατά την γνώμη μας θέσεις των καλύτερων album του 2013.
Με τον Monsieur Minimal εχω ασχοληθει αρκετες φορες μεσα απο αυτον τον χωρο και παντα με αφηνε εκπληκτο κατι καινουργιο που ανακαλυπτα για αυτον. Ακριβως το ιδιο νιωθω και με το καινουργιο του album, ( Minimal to Maximal ), που απο το πρωτο κομματι με κερδισε ολοκληρωτικα. 16 συνθεσεις ( σε δυο μουσικα μερη) η μια καλυτερη απο την αλλη, το πρωτο μερος ειναι οπως το περιμενα, ο γνωστος μελωδικος, pop καλιτεχνης που τοσο πολυ μας αρεσε στις παλαιοτερες δουλειες του (lollipop, παστα φλωρα). Ποτε δεν φανταστηκα ομως πως στο δευτερο μερος θα ακουγα εναν καινουργιο ΄΄κυριο μινιμαλ ΄΄ με dark electro τασεις, post rock επιρροες και trip hop μελωδιες, χαλαλι λοιπον οι κριτικες απο τα ελληνικα και ξενα ΜΜΕ, τις αξιζει και με το παραπανω, και το μονο που μενει λοιπον να με θλιβει ειναι το οτι δεν τον εχω δει ακομα (λογο υποχρεωσεων ) ζωντανα στην σκηνη.
Η αληθεια ειναι πως δεν ξερω και πολλα πραγματα για τον χρηστο (Figurant), οσο και να εψαξα δεν βρηκα παραπανω απο δυο αραδες πληροφοριες για αυτον, και απο οτι φαινετε δεν προκειται να ανακαλυψω περισσοτερα. Εχω μια σιγουρια ομως, πως αυτος ο καλλιτεχνης με τις indie, sad, ambient επιρροες και την ομορφα μελαγχολικη φωνη, δεν μπορει παρα να παει ψηλα.
εκ πρωτης οψεως η nalyssa green ειναι μια ομορφη παρουσια με μια κιθαρα στα χερια, και ενα βλεμμα που σου δινει να καταλαβεις πως απλα αγαπαει αυτο που κανει. Και ολα αυτα πριν αρχισει να τραγουδαει. γιατι τοτε αλλαζουν τα παντα μεσα στον χωρο, και νιωθεις να βρισκεσαι αλλου και παντου. Και μεσα στο πληθος παρακαλας την τυχη σου να την κανει να γυρισει και να σου χαρισει μια ματια, μονο και μονο για να την ευχαριστησεις για αυτα που σου προσφερει.

No Clear Mind is an open platform of expression, bringing together people who tint every-day inertia, canceling its discreet yet lingering nature. Flakes are a 5 piece band currently based between London (UK), Athens and Patras (Gr). They formed in 2006 and have appeared in many festivals and different venues in Greece and abroad ever since (supporting bands such as Bloc Party, Primal Scream, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Foals, Nine Black Alps, Puressence +). While in the studio for the recording of their debut album Flakes were selected to perform in Exit Festival 2008 (Novi Sad, Serbia) for MTV Live Music Stage. In September 2009 being the finalists of CocaCola Soundwave Contest v.3, the band had the opportunity to record new material at RAK studios, London. Victory Collapse were formed on March of 2004 in Athens.
Their music can be described as an attempt to put together different music structures. A rather forceful rhythm section along with raw psychedelic guitar tunes and passionate sharp vocals. Post punk, punk funk, new wave, psychedelic music, rock’n’roll, noise, afro beat, greek traditional music… whatever.
The band during these two years was “lucky” to perform supporting artists that more or less affected their sound such as the Liars, the Fall, Savage Republic and Radio 4. They have also performed with friends like Sinister Waltz and for the Velvet magazine with Trypanosoma.
They aim to lead urban music in a more humanistic area by reintroducing primitive rhythms and melodies in a post-modern outfit. Besides, you know what they say:
Katerina Panopoulou started creating music as a teenager with friends, and that's when she got the bug. One year later when the fledgling band broke up, she got herself her first electric guitar and wrote her own songs.
In 2001 she moved to England to study music. Two years later, back in Greece she teamed up with guitarist Gina Dimakopoulou, violinist Katerina Michailidi, bassist Iakovos Siaparinas, drummer Dimitris Panagiotopoulos and formed the band Dementia Praecox. After many live performances, she moved to London to further her studies. During her stay in London, she performed as a solo acoustic artist. In 2007 under the indissoluble name Katrin the Thrill, she participated in the Coca Cola Soundwave competition and won a place among the 5 best music acts. The video clip of the song "If You Believe in Dreams" was shot and the track was included in the "Music on the Coke side of Life" compilation. For the next 2 years Katrin the Thrill performed in Greece at Terra Vibe, Gagarin 205, Vrachon Theater, European Music Day, Bios, Athens Gay Pride, Festival Against Racism,Indie Free Festival and was the opening act for Manic Street Preachers, GregDulli and Electrelane.
In 2009, following the devastating fires that swept through Greece, as well as many other places around the world, the concept for "Earth Is Calling Us" EP was devised, and the need to take action and help reforestation was fully realized. In December 2010, "Earth Is Calling Us" was released as her first solo project with Gina on guitar, Maria Roka on bass and Tolis Toleas on drums. The EP is dedicated to the earth and the environment and part of the proceeds goes towards the reforestation of the burned forests of Greece. In January 2012 the first reforestation was successfully completed.
In December 2011, after eight months of intensive studio work, her new album was ready to be released, but an unfortunate event postponed everything; at the last minute the record label deal broke down and all production costs needed to be covered for the album to see the light of day. A successful Indiegogo online campaign was organized, and Katrin's fans raised over $2,000 to bring her unique vision, "Evil Eye Charm" to reality.In September 2012, her new album "Evil Eye Charm" was released and gained outstanding reviews
Coming from totally different sectors..Motivated and influenced by
different musical stimuli and by personal participation in various
amateur and professional bands and music groups, we hope & intend to
give a different suggestion regarding the way we'd like the Rock Scene
to be nowadays. Powerful, feelings' expressing and without showing any
fear against the indisputable right of every person to freely express
their opinion. We all believe that art is the ultimate expression and
correspondingly expression, especially nowadays, should & ought to
be borderless, limitless and willing to brake all limiting chains &
barriers.
The Group members are:
Giannis Seferiadis: (Quitar), responsible for music and lyrics of most songs of percentage.
Margianna Katsamatsa: (Vocals), responsible for lyrics of some songs of percentage.
Domenik Papaemmanuel:(Quitar, Vocals), Lead Singer of Wastefall, well
established metal band having played in multiple countries of Europe in
terms of specific events.
Dimitris Spirou: (Drums), with participation in various music bands.
Vassilis Sfakianos (Bass), owner and operator of Soundmachine Studio in
Piraeus, who is also responsible for all band's recordings.
